If it comes to it
When a wildfire threatens your neighborhood and you evacuate with your loved ones, you leave behind a home that is ready.
It has sufficient water in the tanks and a mobile pump ready to quickly extinguish ember fires. All structures are treated with fire retardant, the grounds are cleared of hazards, and surrounding vegetation is kept wet.
The same Embeready technician who secured your home remains on-site, standing watch and protecting it for as long as conditions allow.
HIPS
Our Home Ignition Prevention System (HIPS) is built around three essentials: water, a pump, and a trained technician on-site.
It has one purpose: to protect your home.
Completely independent of the city grid, HIPS relies on on-site resources to maintain continuous protection.
We configure standard components for each property to achieve a precise fit without added complexity - keeping the system robust, cost-effective, and easy to operate and maintain.
Make your home ready
Homes can ignite in 15–30 minutes from wind-driven embers, often miles ahead of the fire front.
There are too many homes, across too large an area, for firefighters to protect them all.
Existing mitigation solutions are complex, confusing, and expensive.
With Embeready, your home will not be left to burn.
Living with risk
Your home holds more than walls and a roof. It carries years of life, memories, and investment - often representing your most valuable asset.
In high wildfire hazard areas, the risk to that value is real, alongside rising insurance costs and the limits of emergency response.
That reality is beyond your control, but your home is not.
When evacuation becomes necessary, what matters is simple: is your home ready?

HIPS Essential Services
HIP Assessment
A detailed inspection of your home to evaluate risk and define the optimal Home Ignition Protection (HIP) approach. The result is a clear, actionable plan covering equipment configuration and priority passive protection measures, aligned with insurance industry standards.
Usually takes 2 hours.
Spray Day
A scheduled service where your system is fully activated and tested under real conditions. We run the pump, deploy the hoses, and verify flow, coverage, and performance - ensuring everything works as intended when it matters most.
Usually takes 4 hours.
Equipment Installation
Your system is installed with precision, following your HIP plan to ensure correct placement and performance. Our certified technicians handle filling, assembly, testing, and full documentation of all components. The installation is completed with a clean, secure setup - tanks covered and the pump neatly stored.
Usually takes a day for a team of two.
Secure and Watch
During periods of high wildfire risk, an Embeready technician prepares and secures your property, positions and readies the equipment, and remains on-site to monitor conditions.
Takes as long as risk persits and conditions allow safe operation.
Know where you stand
The HIP Score measures your home’s level of wildfire readiness on a 0–100 scale, combining both active and passive protection.
Active Defense (up to 50 points): Installing a Home Ignition Protection System (HIPS) provides immediate protection and accounts for half of the total score.
Passive Defense (up to 50 points): The remaining points are earned through a series of prioritized measures - such as structural hardening and vegetation management - based on insurance industry standards.
The result is a clear, balanced view of how well your home is prepared.
The HIP Score is first calculated at assessment and updated with every following action.
